What Are the Steps to Becoming an LPN?

• Earn a High School Diploma or GED
  Before applying to an LPN program, you must already have your high school diploma.
• Enroll in an Accredited LPN/LVN Training Program
  Many community colleges and vocational schools offer LPN programs. You must, however, verify whether the nursing program you’re enrolled in is accredited.
• Apply for Authorization to Test
  You will need the Authorization to Test (ATT) before you can take the NCLEX. To obtain this, you must apply to your local board of nursing and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing
• Schedule Your NCLEX-PN Exam
  Once authorized for testing, you must register for and schedule your NCLEX test. Although testing sites are available across the country, slots rapidly fill up, hence you should start the scheduling procedure as soon as you can while allocating sufficient time for you to study.
